My Favourite Books

1.Alchemist

Author:Paulo Coelho

📘Story Summary:

The Alchemist is the story of a young shepherd named Santiago from Spain. He keeps having a dream about a treasure hidden near the Egyptian Pyramids. Believing that this dream is a sign, he decides to leave his simple life and search for the treasure.

During his journey,

Santiago meets:

Melchizedek, the King of Salem, who encourages him to follow his dream.

crystal merchant, where he works to earn money and learns about patience and hope.

An Englishman ,searching for the secrets of alchemy.

The Alchemist,a wise guide who teaches Santiago to listen to his heart and trust the universe.

Fatima ,a desert girl he loves but does not stop him from completing his journey.

When Santiago digs under the sycamore tree in Spain (the place where he first had the dream), he finds a chest filled with real treasure—gold coins, jewels, precious stones, and valuable items.

He becomes truly rich, but more importantly, he realizes that:

The treasure was not only the gold

The real treasure was the journey, the lessons he learned, and understanding his Personal Legend

After finding the treasure, he decides to return to the desert because he remembers Fatima, the girl he loves. He wants to be with her and continue his life with happiness and wisdom.

2.Good Girl Guide to Murder

Author:Holly Jackson.

📘Story Summary:

The story is about Pippa Fitz-Amobi, a smart and determined high-school girl who chooses a closed murder case as her final school project. Five years ago, a girl named Andie Bell disappeared and was believed to be murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Everyone in town thinks Sal killed her and then committed suicide, so the case was closed.

But Pippa does not believe Sal is guilty. She thinks the truth is different and wants to prove Sal was innocent.

During her investigation:

She interviews people in the town.

She discovers hidden secrets, lies, and dangerous truths about Andie’s life.

She works with Ravi Singh, Sal’s younger brother.

She faces threats and danger from someone trying to stop her.

In the end, Pippa uncovers the real killer and proves that Sal was innocent. The truth shows that the case was more complicated than everyone believed.

The story ends with justice finally being served and Sal’s name cleared, but Pippa’s life is changed because of everything she experienced.

🎬Story Summary

Inception is a science-fiction thriller film released in 2010.

The story is about Dom Cobb,a skilled thief who specializes in entering people's dreams to steal secrets from their subconscious mind. This technique is called extraction. Because of his dangerous past, Cobb is unable to return home to his children.

Cobb is offered a special mission by a businessman namedSaito. Instead of stealing an idea, Cobb must plant an idea inside someone’s mind — this process is called Inception. If Cobb succeeds, Saito will clear his criminal record and Cobb can return to his family.

Together, they dive into multiple layers of dreams facing unexpected dangers and subconscious projections. Cobb struggles with memories of his late wife, Mal, which threaten the mission. Eventually, through teamwork, creativity, and courage, Cobb completes the inception and is finally able to return to his children, leaving the audience questioning what is real and what is a dream.

NASA recruits Cooper for a secret mission to travel through a wormhole near Saturn in search of a new habitable planet. The goal is to save humanity from extinction.

CASE- robot assistant

Together, they explore distant planets in another galaxy, facing time dilation, dangerous environments, and unknown cosmic phenomena. Cooper is motivated by love for his children, especially his daughter Murph, who grows up trying to solve the equation for gravity to help humanity leave Earth.

In the end, Cooper sacrifices himself to save the mission, enters a tesseract, communicates critical information to Murph through time, and helps humanity survive. He is eventually reunited with Murph years later.
