  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the cake pan
  2. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, leavening agents, and salt) in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients (eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla) in a separate bowl, then gently mix them into the dry ingredients to create the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely, then frost and serve.
